Agreed, I’ve watched the level of competition in our area drop season after season.

The boards are getting plenty of commentary about struggling programs. When you look at Max Preps rankings of Ca. football the worst teams in Ca. are over represented by the SGV and L.A. City teams. The bottom 100 in Ca. 1043-943 about half of those teams are from here locally. The schools have big student bodies but are miserable on the field. So they only play each other and get even worse. The only ones to blame are the administrators and coaches. Rightly so. Whittier plays Bassett tomorrow night. Whittier has no business scheduling this game……but neither does Bassett. Why doesn’t CIF SS take this on as a fixable problem instead of lumping all these teams in one big trash heap. SGV barely ventures into the OC anymore because when they do even against poor OC teams they get spanked like Cal and Whittier did last week. The SGV and LA football has really lost its way.

Did I miss something? When did the Bills cut Tre’Davious White? I did not sign off on this decision.

The debut of well-compensated Lincoln Riley on Saturday kicks off one of the most highly anticipated seasons in Trojan history. With his new $17.5 million mansion at the beach, this coach is probably living larger than even the university’s president. True, he’s not pulling Hunter Biden-type coin, but I’m just glad the spirit of Pete Carroll’s era is being resurrected.
