  1. James Outman, of the Oklahoma City Dodgers, hit for the cycle twice in four days last week. 
  2. The Dodgers lost two of three to the New York Mets at Citi Field.  
  3. Earnie Shavers, who some considered the hardest punching heavyweight of all time, passed away at the age of 78. 
  4. The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Donovan “Spider” Mitchell from the Utah Jazz for three players, three unprotected first round picks and two pick swaps. 
  5. Boston Celtics forward Danilo Gallinari suffered a torn ACL in his left knee while playing for the Italian national team and could miss the entire 2022-’23 season. 
  6. Penn St. beat Purdue 35-31 Thursday night in the College Football opener for both teams. 
  7. Notre Dame at Ohio St. Saturday 4:30 p.m. ABC. 
  8. Quarterback Russell Wilson signed a five-year, $245 million contract extension with the Denver Broncos. 
  9. Armie Briones has been the voice of the El Rancho Dons for 59 years. 
  10. There were 1,051 total yards combined in the Monrovia-El Rancho game Thursday night.
