  2. The Houston Astros beat the New York Yankees 3-2 Thursday night to take a 2-0 lead in the ALCS.  
  3. The Arizona Cardinals beat the New Orleans Saints 42-34 on Thursday Night Football.
  4. UCLA at Oregon, Saturday 12:30 p.m. FOX. 
  5. The Carolina Panthers are trading running back Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers for draft picks. 
  6. Arcadia catcher Mikey Easter has committed to Azusa Pacific.  
  7. Pasadena quarterback Indiana Wijay has received an offer from the University of Nevada. 
  8. Temple City pitcher Kassandra Gewecke has committed to Ohio State.
  9. LAFC beat the LA Galaxy 3-2 Thursday night in the Western Conference Semifinals. 
  10. On this date in 1973 the Oakland A’s won the World Series with a 5-2 victory over the New York Mets in Game 7 at Oakland Alameda County Coliseum.
