  1. Navy’s Ken Niumatalolo has been dismissed as head football coach after 15 seasons the school announced Sunday. Navy lost to Army 20-17 in double overtime Saturday. 
  2. USC quarterback Caleb Williams won the Heisman Trophy Saturday. 
  3. Sacramento State’s Troy Taylor has been named the new head football coach at Stanford. 
  4. Oregon State head football coach Jonathan Smith signed a new six-year, $30.6 million contract with the Beavers. 
  5. Former NBA head coach, 3-time NBA Champion, Paul Silas, passed away at the age of 79. 
  6. The Chargers beat the Miami Dolphins 23-17 on Sunday Night Football. 
  7. The World Cup Final Four: Argentina vs. Croatia; France vs. Morocco.  
  8. Pasadena beat Arcadia 61-59 Friday night to open up Pacific League action. 
  9. Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy, in his first NFL start, led the San Francisco 49ers to a 35-7 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday. 
  10. There are 43 college football Bowl games scheduled beginning with Miami (Ohio) facing UAB in the Bahamas Bowl on Friday December 16.

    With so many players being honored in very small leagues as all stars it would be nice to see an ALL MVS team whittled down to 1st team only and a couple of honorable mentions plus a POY.
