  1. Michael Jordan is finalizing a sale of the Charlotte Hornets ending his 13-year run as majority owner of the franchise. 
  2. The NBA has suspended Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant for 25 games to start the 2023-’24 season
  3. The Golden State Warriors have hired Mike Dunleavy Jr. to be their new General Manager. Dunleavy replaces Bob Myers who stepped down after 11 years. 
  4. Wyndham Clark won the U.S Open Sunday in Los Angeles beating Rory McElroy by one stroke.
  5. Former UCLA defensive lineman/Los Altos star Brigham Harwell has been named the new defensive coordinator at Chaminade. 
  6. Final results of a Twitter Poll asking who had the worst Friday night? Dodgers PR Department – 57% Dodgers Bullpen- 43%.   
  7. The Giants beat the Dodgers 7-3 Sunday to sweep the three-game series. The Dodgers dropped to 39-33 on the season and into third place in the NL West.  
  8. West Virginia head basketball coach Bob Huggins has resigned in the wake of a DUI arrest last Friday night. 
  9. Lou Williams has retired from the NBA after a 17-year career. Williams won the Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2015, ’18 and ’19. 
  10. The Washington Wizards are finalizing a deal to send guard Bradley Beal to the Phoenix Suns for a package including Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, several second-round picks and a pick swap.
