  1. Miller Moss threw for 372 yards and six touchdowns to lead USC to a 42-28 win over Louisville in the Holiday Bowl Wednesday night. 
  2. The Cleveland Browns beat the New York Jets 37-20 on Thursday Night Football. The Browns (11-5) clinched a playoff spot with the victory. 
  3. Boys Basketball: Arcadia beat Bonita 76-71 Thursday at the Damien Classic. Noa Edwards led the Apaches with 20 points and eight rebounds. 
  4. The Denver Broncos have benched quarterback Russell Wilson in favor of Jarrett Stidham who will start Sunday against the Chargers. 
  5. Former Warren star quarterback Nico Iamaleava will start for Tennessee against Iowa in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day. Tennessee starter Joe Milton III opted out of the game and will prepare for the NFL draft. 
  6. USC quarterback Caleb Williams still hasn’t officially declared for the NFL draft. 
  7. “I guess you can’t give La Serna coach George the award. LS can’t win everything even though he was hands down winner unless you are going to name him in some other award.” – MVS Commenter “LS” on Mark Carson of Rio Hondo Prep winning the MVS “Coach of the Year” award instead of La Serna’s Andy George. 
  8. “Was Ryan Bateman even considered?” – MVS Commenter “Chiefs” on Santa Fe’s Ryan Bateman not winning the award. 
  9. Former USC cornerback Domani Jackson has committed to Alabama.  
  10. The Dodgers have spent $1.1 Billion combined to sign DH/Pitcher Shohei Ohtani, and pitchers Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow this off season.

    Watching the bowl games is frustrating. The announcers talk more about the guys that aren’t playing and how great they are than they do about the guys that are on the field. I switch over to watch Hoosiers for the 100th time instead.

    What needs to be done to “prepare” for the NFL draft? Are we talking about laying-in a supply of party food for family and friends to eat while you wait for your name to be called? Sounds formidable.
