- The Rams beat the New York Giants 26-25 Sunday to improve to 9-7 on the year. The Rams clinched a Wild-Card playoff spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
- The Baltimore Ravens (13-3) routed the Miami Dolphins 56-19 Sunday to clinch the number one seed in the AFC.
- The Dallas Cowboys beat the Detroit Lions 20-19 Saturday to improve to 11-5 on the year. The Lions converted a two-point conversion when offensive tackle Taylor Decker caught a pass in the end zone from Jared Goff with 23 seconds left to give Detroit an apparent 21-20 lead. But the play was nullified when Decker was called for illegal touching when the officials ruled that Decker never reported on the play. Detroit then failed on another two-point attempt and the Cowboys escaped with the victory.
- Florida State, who was 13-0 coming into the game, lost to Georgia 63-3 Saturday in the Capital One Orange Bowl.
- CFP Semifinals: Monday January 1: Rose Bowl: #4 Alabama vs #1 Michigan 2:00 PM PT; Allstate Sugar Bowl: #3 Texas vs #2 Washington 5:45 PT. Both games on ESPN.
- Boys Basketball: Walnut beat Covina 54-46 Friday night to win the Covina Tournament Championship.
- The Arizona Cardinals upset the Philadelphia Eagles 35-31 Sunday leaving the Eagles and the Cowboys tied in the NFC East at 11-5 with one game remaining.
- The San Francisco 49ers (12-4) clinched the number one seed in the NFC with a 27-10 win over the Washington Commanders combined with the Eagles loss to the Cardinals.
- The Kansas City Chiefs (10-6) clinched the AFC West with a 25-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
