  2. The Dodgers also traded left-hander Caleb Ferguson to the New York Yankees for left-handed reliever Matt Gage and pitching prospect Christian Zazueta Jr. 
  3. Team San Diego beat Team Los Angeles 34-8 last Saturday night in the Heritage Bowl. 
  4. The Chargers are set to hire former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman as their new OC. 
  5. The Houston Astros signed Jose Altuve to a five-year, $125 million extension. 
  6. The Chargers are also hiring former Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter as their new DC. 
  7. Earl Cureton, who played 12 seasons in the NBA and won two NBA championships, passed away suddenly Sunday at the age of 66. 
  8. Bishop Amat quarterback Richie Munoz has committed to Air Force. 
  9. Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid, the reigning MVP, will be out at least four weeks after a procedure on his left knee Tuesday.
