  1. USC lost to Michigan 27-24 Saturday at the “Big House” in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 
  2. UCLA lost to LSU 34-17 Saturday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 
  3. The Rams rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat the San Francisco 49ers 27-24 Sunday at SoFi Stadium for their first win of the season.    
  4. The Chargers (1-2) lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-10 Sunday in Pittsburgh. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert left the game after aggravating an ankle injury. He left the stadium in a walking boot.
  5. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Texas 2. Georgia 3. Ohio State 4. Alabama 5. Tennessee. 
  6. Norwalk running back Ezra Mueller has rushed for 790 yards and 9 touchdowns in the first four games. He is averaging 10.1 yards per carry. 
  7. In the Rio Hondo League Temple City and La Canada are both 5-0 and Monrovia is 4-0. League play starts October 4. 
  8. The Dodgers are 93-63, three games ahead of the second place San Diego Padres in the NL West with six games to play. 
  9. The Chicago White Sox lost to the Padres 4-2 Sunday tying the record for most losses since 1900 with 120. They tied the expansion New York Mets who lost 120 games in 1962. 
  10. Former running back Eugene “Mercury” Morris who starred for the unbeaten Miami Dolphins team in 1972 and helped the team to two Super Bowl titles, passed away at the age of 77.

    That pick-6 thrown by Moss proved to be the game decider. Can’t get too angry about the defense allowing that big run setting up Michigan’s go-ahead TD…Lynn has done a remarkable job with his unit.
