  1. The Championship series are set: NLCS: Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers; ALCS: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Seattle Mariners. 
  2. Seattle beat Toronto 3-1 Sunday night to take a 1-0 lead in the ALCS.  
  3. The Rams beat the Baltimore Ravens 17-3 Sunday to improve to 4-2. The Chargers beat the Miami Dolphins 29-27 to improve to 4-2. 
  4. Penn State fired head football coach James Franklin Sunday after 12 seasons. Penn State is 3-3 overall but has lost three straight including a 22-21 loss to Northwestern Saturday and a 42-37 defeat last week to UCLA. Franklin is owed more than $49 million according to his contract.  
  5. UCLA beat Michigan State 38-13 Saturday to improve to 2-4. 
  6. Oregon State fired head football coach Trent Bray after an 0-7 start. Bray was in his second season.  
  7. Texas beat Oklahoma 23-6 Saturday in the Red River Rivalry.  
  8. Santa Margarita beat Mater Dei 7-6 Friday night. It was Santa Margarita’s first win over Mater Dei since 2013. 
  9. Rowland’s CJ Carrillo has received an offer from Willamette University in Oregon. 
  10. AP College Football Top 5: 1. Ohio St. 2. Miami 3. Indiana 4. Texas A&M 5. Ole Miss. USC is #20.
