Corin Berry and Charter Oak still sitting at number 3 after a running clock win over Claremont.
Everybody in the Top 12 won last week except for Rio Hondo Prep which had a bye and La Canada which dropped to number 12. Charter Oak showed it is the team to beat in the Sierra League. Huge wins for Bishop Amat and Damien. Los Altos and Rowland just keep on rolling.
- Damien (6-1) – Malachi McFarland leads a big bounce back win over Etiwanda.
- Downey (6-1) – Vikings drop 67 on La Mirada.
- Charter Oak (6-1) – JD Sanchez runs for three scores in rout of Claremont.
- Muir (6-1) – Muir continues to cruise in the Pacific.
- Northview (6-1) – Northview in control in the Valle Vista.
- Bishop Amat (4-3) – Lancers surprise Notre Dame as they battle in the Mission.
- Rio Hondo Prep (7-0) – Kares enjoy the week off as they prepare to run the table.
- Bonita (4-3, 5-2 on the field) – Bearcats dispatch of Glendora, Claremont next.
- La Serna (5-3) – It hasn’t been easy but Lancers still winning.
- Los Altos (7-0) – Conquerors move up a notch with rout of Covina.
- Rowland (7-0) – Undefeated Raiders finally begin league play this week.
- La Canada (7-1) – Spartans suddenly in must win situation this week against Monrovia.
La Serna’s performance of late means they are either deficient in lineplay or else just plain faking ineptitude to get a gravy playoff seeding. We know this team historically lays down in league, and this year the act may be getting intense because coach George knows he would get slaughtered in D4 or D5.
