
Northview’s Isaiah Lucero scored three touchdowns and set up another with an interception.

(San Dimas) – Isaiah Lucero scored three touchdowns as Northview dominated from start to finish in a 42-7 rout of San Dimas Friday night on the Saints home field.
The Vikings were up 14-0 before the seats were even warm. On their first possession they drove 75 yards on 14 plays with Dominic Munuz scoring from three yards out.
San Dimas fumbled on its own 15-yard line on the next possession where the Vikes fell on it and were in business again. Two plays later Aaron Guillen plowed in from the eight-yard line and it was 14-0 with 3:48 left in the first quarter.
In the second quarter after another San Dimas fumble Northview struck again. Robert Lucero hit his brother Isaiah Lucero in stride for a 37-yard touchdown pass.
Four minutes later the Lucero brothers hooked up again. Robert threw a quick swing pass to Isaiah who dodged a couple defenders and was off to the races for a 19-yard score.
San Dimas first four possessions ended in fumble, punt, fumble and punt. The last series ended in a sack as the first half ended and Northview took a 28-0 lead into the break.
The Vikings picked up right where they left off in the third quarter. This time Isaiah Lucero did it on the defensive side as he picked off a pass and returned it to the San Dimas two. Guillen got his second of the night on a one-yard run.
Lucero to Lucero clicked one more time in the third quarter. This time the pass, catch and run was good for 84 yards as Isaiah took it to the house with 1:29 left in the quarter.
The running clock started in the fourth bringing a quick end to the onslaught. The Saints managed to score with just over three minutes left on a 43-yard run up the middle by Jacob Gallegos.
Isaiah Lucero’s final line: Six catches for 164 yards and three touchdowns. Oh, and an interception that he returned to set up another score. Robert Lucero completed 11 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns.
For San Dimas Gallegos ran for 113 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.
With the win Northview improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the Valle Vista League. San Dimas fell to 4-4 and 1-2.
