Congrats to two teams close to my heart. First, my area school Folsom won another title and are looking like De La Salle in the dominance up here in the Sacramento area. Second, I played St Mary’s of Stockton 5x in high school and they are a small private school that I almost attended. They were good for 2 wins a season and not much competition. The fact they are a power now makes me smile.
It’s hard to dominate high school anything, in the Stockton/Lodi area. Lincoln, Edison, Stagg, and Tokay have produced many great athletes.
Congratulations to Los Alamitos, one of the finest public high schools in SoCal. If you haven’t driven by there lately, you’d be blown away by the massive new building right out front that makes the place look like a university. The best building in the area, however, is Volcano Burgers, which is right across the street…the best food anywhere at very low prices. And no, I don’t own the place.
