I think Monrovias problem is those ugly green uniforms. Switch to Indiana Red.

Monrovia isn’t what Monrovia used to be. Kids being sold false dreams. No more true athletes at Monrovia. No feeder programs to Monrovia. Transfer portal. Kids being paid to play. Small roster… smaller kids. District and administration… no consistency. Weak minded athletes not tough at all. Recruiting. Privilege kids with parents. Out dated equipment (no budget. no community help. Expensive equipment)

I have spoken to coach and he’s expressed and shed light to what is going on in Monrovia. With him trying to build within instead of recruiting there is no one at Monrovia like the old Monrovia days. There are no Hernandez, Salazar, Scooby, Hale, Spencer, McCarthy, Scott, etc… Recruiters out there makes it hard for coach to keep. Then Programs like Northview, Charter Oak, cathedral, Damien, Amat, Pasadena (recruiting) Baldwin park (recruited St Paul QB), and now Rio hondo prep Makes it harder. Not great to be a Monrovian with numbers of participant declining and not athletes for football. Monrovia builds them and they get recruited and sit on bench (ex: sierra canyon) kids checking out because of discipline issues.

Wildcat fan 06 you a fan and alumnus help Monrovia rebuild come to practices look at kids not coaches see what they are working with, maybe you will understand that your schools on a decline overall from all sides. He has hired a great staff with a lot of coaching experience, at position coaches coming from great programs. Whats the next best sport in town top rated? Basketball? Baseball? Soccer?
You couldn’t even name new SM head coach right off the top. Or maybe why don’t you come and help build Monrovia up what it used to be. Talk is cheap when u don’t know the bigger picture or help. It’s not coach and staff they have coached their butts off putting brian Salazar as MVP, Noah Ellison top rated WR (both all state nominees) Jesse as a freshman MVP of the league and dealt with injury bug this past year. Coach did all that with great call plays and kids finished and building a culture.

This goes for all programs. Outsiders stay outside. If you don’t know, talk to your coaches… get involved. Find out what is being needed, get intel, and how can you help.

Too bad he won’t have anyone to block for him or throw to. The entire OL has either graduated or transferred. The WR’s have graduated. Why do you think the other 2 QB’s transferred out?

13 td passes in 5 games is a solid clip. Looks like St Paul is getting a solid qb

Not a bad acquisition for Montoya; this may have been the hidden reason for giving the gig to Austin. Hopefully, the young coach has about 10 more transfers of this type, which is the only way he’s going to survive this fall’s brutal schedule.

Another sign of M-Town’s collapse. Fire everyone. Should go hire the new SM coach. At least he knows us.

Those are some gaudy numbers. As a Freshman with freshman pass catchers he threw for 250 yards a game. St. Paul has recuited pure gold.
