San Gabriel Names Quintanilla Starter

(San Gabriel) – San Gabriel has named Temple City transfer Mikal Quintanilla the starting quarterback for the opening game against Animo Friday night.

Rams Put on the Pads

(Temple City) – They’re coming off a season in which they finished 1-9. They’re playing in the same league as the two time defending Mid-Valley Division champions. They didn’t win their first game until the last game of the season. So it’s safe to say that the Temple City Rams are uh…flying under the radar coming in to 2012.

West Covina Wins Shootout

(El Monte) – West Covina beat Northview 30-18 to win the SGV Shootout at Arroyo Saturday. The Bulldogs, not traditionally a passing team, knocked off Monrovia in the semi finals before dispatching of Northview. Monrovia beat Whittier Christian in the consolation game.
