By George Hernandez [El Monte] I sat down with another Arroyo triathlete – this time a freshman, Oscar Lopez. Lopez, as a freshman, has lettered in football, basketball and baseball. He got injured in week three against Bolsa Grande and had thrown for a touchdown and an interception before the injury.

South Too Much for North, 32-7

By Tim Peterson (Covina) – The South outscored the North 19-0 in the fourth quarter to break open a close game and went on to a 32-7 rout in the North-South All-Star game Friday night at Lou Farrar Stadium at Charter Oak High.

Q&A with Norwalk’s Marcus Castillo

By George Hernandez (Norwalk)- I sat down with Norwalk’s sophomore standout defensive lineman Marcus Castillo who had 50 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and five sacks. He helped the Lancers to a 10-1 season and a Mid Cities league title. Castillo is also a standout baseball player for the Lancers.
