(Pasadena) – Ron Jones was dismissed as the head football coach at Pasadena after three seasons he confirmed Tuesday.
Pasadena shut down its football program after three games this season due to lack of players. The Bulldogs had lost their first three games.
Jones went 14-15 in three years at the helm and led the Bulldogs to a CIF championship in 2024. The overall record does not include the seven forfeits this season.
In ’24 Pasadena beat Gahr 21-17 to win the Division 13 title on their home field. It was the Bulldogs first CIF championship since 1933. Pasadena beat Santa Rosa Academy, San Marino and Lynwood in the first three rounds before the win over Gahr. The Bulldogs fell in the State Playoffs to Monte Vista.
Pasadena was 0-10 in 2023 before Jones came on in ’24 to turn the program around.
Ron Jones full statement:

My Fovorite time of the year. Watching the coaching merry-go-round of 120 coaches getting fired for the most part but list other reasons. It is better than football season because this stuff lasts 9 months.
