(Covina) – For the second consecutive year the Bonita Bearcats have hoisted the Covina Christmas Classic with an impressive 46-40 win over Roosevelt (Corona).

(Covina) – Bishop Amat knew coming into the game the key to defeating Valley Christian was stopping Carrie Korver’s three-point assault. For a quarter the Lancers defense shut-down Korver to pull away with a 47-32 win in the Third Place game of the Covina Christmas Classic.

(Walnut) – For the first time since 2004, West Covina can claim that it is CIF Champion with a heart-stopping 37-33 over Bonita at Ken Gunn Stadium on the campus of Walnut High.

Nine previous trips to the CIF Finals have produced nine heartbreaks going back 75 years, covering hundreds of players and seven different head coaches. Tomorrow night M-Town will be facing a Whittier Christian team that is 4-0 in the CIF Finals.
