By Tim Peterson (South El Monte) – Elijah Benavidez threw six and two-thirds scoreless innings to lead South El Monte to a 6-0 win over Mt. View Monday on the Eagles home field. With the victory the Eagles are in sole possession of first place in the Mission Valley League.
