(El Monte) Arroyo High School hosted its annual SGV Shootout passing tournament Saturday with the Muir Mustangs outlasting the Baldwin Park Braves in the final. Here a few images from the action.

Quarterback Arthur Moreno led the Mustangs to the SGV Shootout championship. Muir beat Baldwin Park 18-0 Saturday in the finals to win the SGV Shootout at Arroyo. The Mustangs were led by quarterback Arthur Moreno. Here are a few more shots:

By Tim Peterson (Arcadia) – Arcadia’s Jonathan Maldonado, who will now play football at Ole Miss, returned to the school Saturday to make a donation to the football and basketball programs.

La Serna wins Conqueror Classic at Los Altos. By Tim Peterson (Hacienda Heights) – La Serna won the Conqueror Classic Saturday at Los Altos. The Lancers, led by quarterback Grady Long, knocked off some tough teams along the way including Chino Hills in the quarterfinals.
