(L-R) Rudy Robles, Stephen Anderson and George Flynn of Whittier Christian. The Heralds have a huge game against Valley Christian Friday night
Valley Christian jumped into first place but it wasn’t been easy. The Crusaders needed five overtimes to hold off Maranatha in the greatest game played this year – this decade? Valley Christian still has to play Whittier Christian this Friday night in what could determine the Olympic League title.
Maranatha has to be the best 0-2 league team in the Mid-Valley. Village Christian is 1-0 in league after beating LA Baptist. Village gets Maranatha this Saturday night.
Whittier Christian (6-1, 1-0) – The Heralds have been in the top five of the Mid-Valley Division polls all year. Their only loss came at the hands of Cantwell which is also 6-1 on the year. With talent like Stephen Anderson, Grant Escobar, Rudy Robles and oh yeah, some guy named Jeff Worthy, they should have enough to win the league.
