The TEN

1.) Lakers versus Clippers tonight.
2.) South El Monte began playing varsity football in 1993, but did not join the Mission Valley League until 1994. The Eagles were 7-2 that first season under HC Bill Thompson and defeated Monrovia 24-16 in Week Two.

7.) The Rat Dog John Gillette is currently serving as an assistant coach at Garden Grove High School.
8.) On this date in 2007 La Puente defeated Duarte 10-7 at home. Garrett Hrey’s 44-yard touchdown pass to Carlos Rios in the first quarter paced the Warriors. HC Ray Hernandez also got a 17 tackle performance from Steven Barrientos, who also blocked a field goal attempt. The Falcons got 203 yards rushing from Chris Harris but little else. It snapped a seven game winning streak for Duarte.
9.) Arroyo qualifies for the CIF playoffs for the 29th consecutive year.
