Breeder’s Cup Saturday Analysis

SELECTIONS FOR BREEDERS’ CUP SATURDAY

4TH RACE(BREEDERS’ CUP JUVENILE TURF)
JOHA(10) – His Breeders’ Futurity win was as gutsy as they come, turf favoring those speed horse that can rate
DUNDONNELL(6) – Extra furlong could make him the most dangerous in here with stalking style
BALANCE THE BOOKS(8) – If speed comes back he will need to maneuver through many tiring horses
LONGSHOT: Know More(13)

5TH RACE(BREEDERS’ CUP FILLY & MARE SPRINT)
GROUPIE DOLL(9) – Trying to find some reason to not like her and after watching her in the mornings can’t find one
MUSICAL ROMANCE(8) – Hope for a speed duel with favorite if you back this one as she will be picking them up late
DUST AND DIAMONDS(3) – Could give Groupie Doll fits early, might hang on for portion
LONGSHOT: Teddy’s Promise(1)

6TH RACE (BREEDERS CUP DIRT MILE)
RAIL TRIP(1) – can the old guy do it by stalking pace? I think so! Loves this place with 3 wins
SHACKLEFORD(6) – Don’t think he will be left alone upfront to get breather, class will carry him to in the money finish
JERSEY TOWN(3) – if Rail Trip doesn’t get jump on him, could get brave once striking the front
LONGSHOT: Tapizar(8)

7TH RACE(BREEDERS CUP TURF SPRINT)
BRIDGETOWN(9) – Loved his work on Sunday, looks and acts like a horse sitting on a big race
CAMP VICTORY(2) – Throw last race out, as he bobbled bad and had to make up too much ground,
GREAT ATTACK(8) – Will be sprouting wings late and might be the one horse who could make some noise at a price
LONGSHOT: Mizdirection(11)

8TH RACE(BREEDERS’ CUP JUVENILE)
SHANGHAI BOBBY(2) – hasn’t done anything wrong in four starts and Napravnik is a money rider
FORTIFY(8) – Godolphin’s next Derby hope could be primed for big race if shipping didn’t take toll
POWER BROKER(9) – Front Runner race may have taken his toll as he just didn’t look as sharp heading into this week
LONGSHOT: Capo Bastone(7)

9TH RACE(BREEDERS’ CUP TURF)
TRAILBLAZER(12) – Acclimated nicely to US sod with huge finish after nearly five month layoff
POINT OF ENTRY(1) – Best chance for US based horses as he really blossomed in Summer for McGaughey
SHARETA(5) – French filly opted for this spot instead of Filly-Mare Turf
LONGSHOT: Treasure Beach(4)

10TH RACE(BREEDERS CUP SPRINT)
JIMMY CREED(2) – Last race was much better than appeared as he changed tactics to fit race, see him coming from mid-pack to get up
CAPITAL ACCOUNT(8) – Could benefit from awfully hot pace
AMAZOMBIE(11) – Old man might get up for piece but could be up to close and get cooked with leaders
LONGSHOT: Smiling Tiger(10)

11TH RACE(BREEDERS’ CUP MILE)
EXCELEBRATION(6) – Chased home Frankel four times, would be 11 of 14 if not for the great Frankel
WISE DAN(2) – Horse of the Year honors are on the line for gelding who has won 12 of 19
SUGGESTIVE BOY(8) – Gets back to his preferred distance and surface
LONGSHOT: Animal Kingdom(5)

12TH RACE(BREEDERS’ CUP CLASSIC)
RON THE GREEK(10) – Going to ignore last race completely, has won at this distance and Santa Anita Handicap
GAME ON DUDE(5) – Really nice work last out, just don’t think this distance is what he wants
FORT LARNED(4) – Flattened out in last but still finished third, think he is better than that race
LONGSHOT: Nonios(3)

BEST BET: Bridgetown
