(Costa Mesa) – Northwest Divsion Champion Nordhoff saw its season come to an end Saturday night in a 24-8 loss to Corona Del Mar in a CIF Southern California regional Division III Bowl game at Orange Coast College.
The Rangers couldn’t deal with Corona Del Mar’s defense and special teams play. Robby Hoffman blocked two punts for CDM and Matt Deverian returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. Sea Kings quarterback Luke Napolitano threw for a touchdown and also ran for one.
Nordhoff, which has won two consecutive Northwest titles, finished the season at 13-2.
