1.) On this date in 1975 a banged up Los Angeles Rams team defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 10-3, in a Saturday night game played the L.A. Coliseum. Steeler quarterbacks Terry Bradshaw and “Jefferson Street” Joe Gilliam combined to complete just 5 of 21 passes and were picked off three times (Ken Geddes, Eddie McMillan, Monte Jackson). Ron Jaworski, playing for the injured James Harris, scored the game winning touchdown on a 5-yard quarterback draw in the fourth quarter.
Note: Gilliam never appeared in another NFL game.
2.) Azusa linebacker Marlon Aguirre collected 155 tackles in 2013. He’s a senior.
