Village Christian & Schroeder Part Ways

After three seasons Jay Schroeder is out as head football coach at Village Christian.

The following statement was forwarded out by Tom Konjoyan, the head of Village Christian Schools: “It is with great anticipation and some sadness that I want to inform you that VCS will be seeking a new Director of Football Operations immediately. After discussions with former Director of Football Operations, Jay Schroeder, it became clear that both Jay and the school were ready for a change. I am grateful for Jay’s 3 season’s of service to the school both in leading the football program and in supporting all facets of the athletic department.”

The school indicates that an active search will be conducted after the Christmas break and a new coach to be in place by the end of January.
In three seasons, 2011-2013, Schroeder went 15-17 leading the Crusaders program including a 1-1 stint in the 2011 playoffs. He came to Village after serving as part of the Oaks Christian staff.
