1. The Dodgers sign Clayton Kershaw to a seven-year, $215 million contract.
2. The Minnesota Vikings hire Bengal DC Mike Zimmer as head coach.
3. The Washington Wizards beat Miami 114-97 Wednesday night. Greg Oden played his first game in more than four years scoring six points and grabbing two rebounds in just over eight minutes of action for the Heat.
4. Former Laker and NBA first round draft pick Javaris Crittenton was indicted on drug charges in Atlanta, where he is already awaiting trial for his alleged role in the shooting death of a mother of four.
5. The Lakers fall to Phoenix 121-114. They are now 14th in the 15 team Western Conference.
6. Jay Schroeder was 15-17 in a three year stint at Village Christian.
7. Ajon Efferson scores 41 points but it isn’t enough as Pasadena falls to Burroughs 82-77 Wednesday night. Amaad Wainwright had 31 for Burroughs.
8. Temple City opens Rio Hondo League play with a 77-41 win over Blair.
