Oak Park’s Chandler Whitbord put together a season, most would like to have over a career. He accounted for 4,361 yards (3,235 passing) all by himself. Yes there was big time talent around him in Matt Byer, Brandon Coppel, and the overlooked Eric Corsello but it was Whitbord who triggered it all.
Oak Park finished with an 11-2 record, including an 11-game winning streak. At 6-3, 195 Whitbord is far from finished as a player, but what he accomplished in 2013 for the Eagles will not happen again any time soon.
