4. Former NFL defensive back Darren Sharper was arrested in Los Angeles over the weekend on suspicion of rape and is being investigated in connection with three separate sexual assaults. Sharper most recently worked for the NFL Network.
5. The Cleveland Browns are still searching for a head coach after Denver OC Adam Gase withdraws his name from consideration.

7. Amaad Wainwright is averaging 25 points and 11 rebounds per game for Burroughs (13-4, 5-0 in Pacific League.)

10. On this date in 1984 the Los Angeles Raiders beat the Redskins 38-9 in Super Bowl XVIII in Tampa. Marcus Allen is the MVP rushing for 191 yards on 20 carries including a 74 yard touchdown run.
