1.) “You can’t possibly be gassed. You’re only a one-way player!” Arroyo HC Jim Singiser to a player on the sideline in 2013.

2.) Tim Tebow goes 11 of 17 for 189 yards with two touchdowns and a pick in the Philadelphia Eagles 24-18 loss to the New York Jets last night.

3.) Former Mid Valley Sports staffer “Big” Tony Solorzano turns 46 today.

4.) Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper walked four times and scored four times and drove in a run in his team’s 15-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves last night. Harper saw 20 pitches, but did not swing at a single one.

5.) Temple City football opens the 2015 season tonight against Arroyo at B.L. Bergstrom Stadium where it has not won since September 12, 2003. On that evening the Rams beat the Knights, 28-14, to spoil Jim Singiser’s debut as Arroyo’s head coach.
Note: Temple City last beat Arroyo in 2008 when it did it twice. Once in the season opener and then again in the first round of the playoffs. Both games were at North Field.
