A long held military concept is, in lay terms; “get there first with the most men”
When breaking a story about a coach leaving, retiring, or being fired…we follow that same pattern…get it first…and flesh it out with background info, future info, and some quotes…This makes the story yours, you’ve captured the ground…and its fun.
But lately I’ve been thinking we are going way too fast…should we chill on the speed thing? Or have we created a beast that always, always needs to be fed with fresh news? Because if you don’t feed the beast, it will get its grub somewhere else.
