[Rosemead] – Alicia Ochoa threw a complete game shutout and Jaymee Lefort went three for three leading the Panthers to a 13-0 shellacking of Mt. View at home.
Ochoa gave up a double to S. Ramirez in the first but that’s the most trouble she had all day.
Lefort opened it up in and eight-run second inning with a three-run homerun.
Zoey Larson chipped in going two for two for Rosemead with a sacrifice, an RBI and a run. Freshmen first baseman Sharon Tiet got on base three times and scored.
M. Hinojosa pitched the whole game for the Vikings.
Ochoa finished with five strikeouts, on 49-pitches while allowing only two hits. She also had a pair of singles at the plate.
Rosemead was off to their best start in over a decade last year at 6-4 until the season was cut short. The Lady Panthers are currently 2-2 with one loss, a forfeit to El Monte. Their next game will be against South El Monte on Friday who has won the last three MVL titles.
