(La Verne) – Jovan Jester scored 31 points to lead Pasadena to a 66-62 win over San Gabriel Academy Saturday night to win the Silver Division Championship at the Damien Classic.
The Bulldogs were up 28-25 at halftime but San Gabriel Academy battled back to take a 48-45 lead at the end of three. Pasadena then outscored San Gabriel Academy by 21-14 in the fourth quarter to get the victory.
The Bulldogs beat Albany, Tahoma Roosevelt (Seattle) in the Damien Classic this week before knocking off San Gabriel Academy in the championship game.
Jester was named Tournament MVP.
Pasadena improved to 15-1 on the season with the victory while San Gabriel Academy dropped to 7-4.
