  1. NFL Playoffs Results: Sunday: AFC Championship – Kansas City 17 Baltimore 10; NFC Championship- San Francisco 34 Detroit 31. 
  2. Super Bowl LVIII is set. San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday February 11, Allegiant Stadium – Las Vegas.
  3. The Chiefs beat the 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl LIV in 2020. 
  4. Upland head football coach Darryl Thomas and Warren head football coach Kevin Pearson were featured in a Honda commercial Sunday during the NFC Championship game. 
  5. The Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors 145-144 in double overtime Saturday night. LeBron James had 36 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists. 
  6. The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring former Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore as their new OC. 
  7. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce set an NFL record for career post season receptions during the win over the Ravens. A catch in the first half gave him 152 moving him past wide receiver Jerry Rice for most in NFL history. 
  8. Starting February 7 and every Wednesday in February after the Cal High football program will be putting on a Strength and Conditioning Camp for all ages from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is free to attend! Learn the basics to both weight-lifting and conditioning!
  9. Men’s College Basketball: UCLA beat USC 65-50 at Galen Center Saturday. 
  10. The Detroit Tigers signed infield prospect Colt Keith to a six-year, $28.6 million deal. Keith has yet to play a Major League game.

    I fully endorse the idea of getting youth involved and introduced to some of the culture of high school ball. Most successful programs do this in some way. Here I just question day and time . How are 8-13 year old kids going to get Cal Hi on a dark and maybe cold February night? Do the parents want to drive them after they get home from work? I would say neighborhood kids could walk there , but I don’t think they do that anymore.:::::most kids that age don’t see lifting as fun

    Since Thomas and Pearson are now part of the “helpful” Honda team, they can wax my car and mow my lawn. The NFL also set a new record for Taylor Swift luxury booth reaction shots. I understand that Kelce’s bust at Canton will be next to a bronze likeness of Swift reacting to the enshrinement.
