Johnson Lands at Burroughs

(Burbank)- Laron Johnson, who stepped down as the head football coach at La Puente last month, was named the head football coach at Burroughs he confirmed Monday.

Johnson, who was at La Puente for two years, takes over for Jesse Craven who stepped down after the season to take the head coaching job at Westlake.

Burroughs went 9-2 overall and won the Pacific League but lost in the first round of the CIF Division 7 playoffs to Agoura.

Johnson guided La Puente to an 8-3 overall record last season. The Warriors fell in the first round of the CIF Division 14 playoffs to Bell Gardens.

    This guy is…… just wow… very interesting hire… considering the paycheck I won’t bash, but maybe he’s developed from his SG and MK days.
