Ron Vrooman, AHS stat man = they beat all teams in their similar rated division. Let some insult them . We know Pi Hi did great job beating lesser, but every team they had to beat and reached finals
No Ron , the word is artifact …. “ something that is not naturally present but is created by the preparation “
But your point is well taken in that the playoff system creates the champion to large extent . And as said before , happy for all involved . Not a hater by any means , just realist
Why all the hate towards Pioneer? Why so bitter?did you sit on the bench during you time in High school. That head coach Juarez is one he’ll of coach, and a even better person of character. He is well respected by coaches in the area.
@ Moment in the Sun: You mean, artifice? I believe that the current Southern Section playoff system is indeed an artifice, but teams like Pioneer and San Gabriel deserve credit for making the most of their opportunities. They won games at the right time.
Boy you hateers need to get a life or is hating on Pioneer your life.. I guess you and Fat and Juicy are the schlubs that room together. I wish you guys a merry life.
Wouldn’t it be novel to have a CIF tournament that consists soley of teams that won zero games? The winner of this would have to win four straight, which is a whole lot better than their previous 10 losses. Oh wait…La Serna would probably tank 10 straight just to be assured of the championship; forget that idea.
They finally played a team with a CPR better than -20 ( not much at that ) and it was 41-0 in the second quarter .
If they can keep on playing teams with-40 CPRs they can repeat . Unfortunately, this rise is largely a CIF artifact , and unlikely to happen again. But so glad all involved got their moment in the sun !
We’re waiting for the RHP game to commence. I’d bet those guys do better against Vanden than the Titans did against Balboa. But that was to be expected. After all, the Titans have to have a setback here and there, to allow room for additional rising.
