FB Fan = Holtz’s statistical successes , including improving several D1 football programs , since he began his head coaching life speaks for itself! He is at the top , or very close to the top, of my all time favorite College coaches. Yes i am a Notre Dame fan
Looks like Schurr is losing a lot of assistants to St. Paul. Anyone know what’s happening over there?
@ One,
You can think someone is great and not talk about them, especially a public figure like Holtz and then think about him a whole lot after a tragedy……
I would venture to guess that you have a good friend, former colleague, or high school classmate who you haven’t talked to in quite a while or thought of for a bit. But you’d be darn sad if he or she died. It’s human nature, nothing wrong with that.
When a famous person such as Holtz dies at a ripe old age, the tributes pour in. They were this, they were that, but here’s my question: who cared that much about them, say, a week ago? Death has a way of making everyone suddenly concerned.
