- Steve Kerr agreed to a two-year contract to return as head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
- The Dodgers lost to the Atlanta Braves 7-2 Sunday and lost two of three in the series. The Dodgers are now tied with the San Diego Padres for first place in the NL West at 24-16. The Padres beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 Sunday.
- Dodgers’ shortstop Mookie Betts is set to return to the lineup Monday against the San Francisco Giants after missing more than a month with a right oblique strain.
- Former longtime Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox passed away at the age of 84 the team announced Saturday. Cox, who won more than 2,500 games as a manager in his career, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
- New York Jets running back Breece Hall agreed to a three-year, $45.3 million contract Friday.
- The Arizona Cardinals signed first-round pick Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame RB) to a four-year, $53.9 million deal.
