  1. The San Antonio Spurs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 126-97 Tuesday night to take a 3-2 lead in their second round Western Conference playoff series.
  2. Jason Collins, the first openly gay player, passed away of brain cancer at the age of 47 Tuesday. Collins retired in 2014 after a 13-year career that included stops with six different teams. He had two stints with the Nets – first in New Jersey and again after they moved to Brooklyn. He announced he was gay in a 2013 Sports Illustrated cover story.
  3. The Dodgers acquired outfielder Alek Thomas from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for an outfield prospect.
  4. Charle Young, an All-Pro tight who played 13 seasons in the NFL, passed away at the age of 75. Young played for four different teams including the Rams. He helped the San Francisco 49ers win their first Super Bowl title in 1981. He also played on the Rams’ Super Bowl team that lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1979.

  6. Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke, 29, has died the team announced Tuesday. No details of his death were provided by the team but LAPD sources confirmed to ABC News that Clarke was found dead from a possible drug overdose.
  7. The Ducks lost to the Las Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in overtime Tuesday night to fall behind 3-2 in their Western Conference playoff series.
  8. The Buffalo Bills will play their first regular season game at their new home, Highmark Stadium, in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions.
  9. The Milwaukee Bucks are open to trading and taking offers for two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
  10. Former Los Altos head football coach Travis Brown, who also had stops as head coach at Cantwell, Duarte and Sierra Vista, has joined the staff at Charter Oak.
