Ganesha Names Reitz Head Coach

By Tim Peterson

(Pomona) – Ganesha has named Jeff Reitz as its new head football coach the school announced Thursday. Reitz has had numerous head coaching stops at the college and high school level including locally at Diamond Bar.

Reitz has been at Anaheim for the last two years. In 2024 he was the offensive coordinator and last year he served as the defensive coordinator. Anaheim advanced to the third round of the playoffs both seasons.

Reitz takes over for Andres Hernandez who resigned after two years at the helm. The Giants won two league titles under Hernandez, who is leaving to coach the offensive line and be the run game coordinator at Citrus College.

Last year the Ganesha went 8-3 overall and 5-0 in the Miramonte league. They fell to Colton 73-53 in the first round of the playoffs.

Hi, this is Jeff Reitz. I’d like to clear something up, Gus Martinez is the Head Football at Anaheim.
I was the OC in 2024 and were 10 and 3 and finished in the 3rd round. I was the DC in 2025 and again we finished in the 3rd round. Gus was my Head Coach!
From T. Peterson: Thanks Coach. I fixed it. I was given some incorrect information.
