@Sobriety Check
Where did I say Schurr didn’t have people to replace? I said that RHP had a very, very special group of players who just took the graduation walk. It’s a great program and I’m sure it will continue to win many games. But I do think they’ll come back down to the lower divisions that they were in previously. In most years prior to the last 3-4 years or so, a traditionally strong public school like Schurr would likely beat RHP and I think we’ll be going back to that.
I don’t take these things too serious so feel free to call me a drunk for my takes just like Prieto called me a cuckold. 😂
@ FBfan I knew it! Lol
So Schurr didn’t lose any important players? The news is that every program has holes to fill every season. If my life depended on it, I’d bet on Mark Carson being able to “out-fill” Dave Ramos. The Spartans will be up for this contest, as is every team that plays the Kares, so I’m projecting only a two touchdown RHP win.
You guys crack me up and give me too much credit. I’m just some guy who likes local HS football. Yeah, I my wife left me for an ER grad! Lmao!
I’ll go ahead and give my reasonings I guess
Alta Loma projecting upwards and colony projecting downwards
Covina was down last year and still put up 50 vs LP last year
RHP graduated their special group. They’re not a team that recruits and gets transfers so I will assume that they’ll be back to competing for a CIF title in a lower division.
La Serna is proven. BP unproven in big boy football. Plus it’s a week 0 game so who knows if Maxie’s transfers will even be eligible for this game.
Yes, ER upsets teams. But they beat SH in close games the last 2 years so they won’t be sleeping on them. I’m just playing the odds here. Plus I keep hearing about how good South Hills looks.
Amat seems to be the better program than SP right now.
Bonita has a consistent coaching staff. New staff at Muir.
I think TO probably just has a little more than NV.
Arroyo traditionally better than Azusa especially with Singiser and company back in the driver’s seat.
Arcadia better than last year and I think El Monte maybe not so much.
Garfield traditionally a city section power
Cal over Nogales for same reason Covina over LP.
El Rancho was loaded last year with juniors, ER over SH
BP has 20 transfers and Coach was supposed to be in the top 25, LS over BP
Nogales has a good coach at the helm, Nogales over Cal
Arroyo is in the worse division of the Mac 12 but Azusa is Azusa, Arroyo over Azusa
Colony is always loaded with talent, if they would ever bring in a competent shot caller they would be like CO or Bonita, Alta Loma over Colony
Schurr is always good but RP is RP with everyone blocking the right guy, RP over Schurr
LP can’t hold onto coaches, Covina over LP
Do I need an explanation, Amat over SP
EM graduated a good senior class with a few returners and Arcadia is much improved but that staff does things right, EM over Arcadia
Bonita is well coached and Muir has a new coach, Bonita over Muir
Montebello with Pete will play Garfield tough, Garfield over Montebello
Northview will bring in guys and tank games to get a better seeding, TO over NV
Nope FBFAN has never picked El Ranci to win. I think some El.Rancho dude probably stole his girlfriend awhile back
its been quite a while since i have been here, but I see Anonymous still knows everything about everything
I knew it. All the supposed La Serna High School supporters are all the same dude posting with different names.
Has Fbfan ever picked El Rancho to win a game ever?
Standard procedure for police to check intoxication levels is to ask who will win between RHP and Schurr. If the answer is Schurr, it’s off to jail. I’ve got to hope FBFan is safely at home with his high blood level, and that when he sobers-up, he’ll realize there’s no way Schurr beats Mark Carson’s crew.
Alta Loma over Colony
Covina over La Puente
Schurr over RHP
La Serna over BP
South Hills over El Rancho
Amat over St. Paul
Bonita over Muir
Thousand Oaks over Northview
Arroyo over Azusa
Arcadia over El Monte
Garfield over Montebello
Cal over Nogales
From T. Peterson: Looks pretty good overall. But I’d take RHP over Schurr and Nogales over Cal.
La Serna supporter here.. The BP game should be a good one. BP seems to have had a number of quality transfers roll in. Do they have the potential to be a division 4 team?
From T. Peterson: Possibly.
La Serna supporter. BP match up should be a good one. BP has had a lot of quality transfers roll in. Feels like they could move up to division 4 depending on strength of schedule.
Dave Ramos and Austin Montoya are obviously so supremely capable, it would have been a waste to keep them on the same coaching staff. So, one is going to polish-off RHP while the other is busy running circles around Bishop Amat. These are the week zero foes, but only because Mater Dei and Santa Margarita were unavailable.
Cal High at Nogales
From T. Peterson: I added it.
Montebello hosting Garfield
From T. Peterson: Right. I posted just 10 games originally but I added it.
