Although both victories were somewhat tarnished by the controversies concerning the last outs, the Dodgers were able to take 2 of 3 from AL West leading Rangers on the road. It very easily could have been a sweep (the Dodgers had a 3-2 lead heading into the 9th in game 2) just as easily as the Dodgers could have been swept… that’s baseball. Read more »

Los Angeles—Former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava announced he is returning home to play for the UCLA Bruins this fall. After multiple rumors and reports last week the former five-star recruit and Warren Bear confirmed on Instagram Sunday.

The Athletics beat up the struggling White Sox in nearly every way possible and swept Chicago in their own city. They sandwiched a close 3-1 win between two blowouts, 12-3 and 8-0, and are only a game under .500.
