(Arcadia) – Joey Harmon, the starting quarterback for South Pasadena last year as a sophomore, has transferred to Arcadia Apache assistant Eric Elias confirmed Wednesday night.

If you look at the Southeast Division, you’re looking at West Covina aren’t you? The Bulldogs have won two straight CIF titles and there hasn’t been much of a drop off in talent. Lately for West Co, as it is for Monrovia in the Mid-Valley, it’s not a case of rebuilding but reloading.

Just Passing Through CV

(Crescenta Valley) – We took a drive down the 210 freeway Saturday to check out the passing tournament at Crescenta Valley. CV hosted Pacific League teams Arcadia, Burroughs and Hoover. Other schools participating included Hart, Saugus, Valencia, Eagle Rock, LA Wilson, Verdugo and LA Marshall.

Sanders Lands at Arcadia

(Arcadia) – Former Duarte Head Coach Tip Sanders has joined the staff at Arcadia as line coach Apache HC Chris Long confirmed Tuesday night on the Mid Valley Sports Show. “He joined the staff when Coach Dimalante was here and decided to stay when I became Head Coach,” Long said.

Arcadia Names Chris Long HC

Chris Long was selected to fill the head coach vacancy left after the resignation of John Dimalante.  Long is a graduate of Serra High School and was an assistant on Dimalante’s staff last year and earlier this decade. He was also was the HC at Hoover from 2008 through 2010.

Apache Myles Carr Verbally Commits to Stony Brook University
