If you’re looking for an alternative to the Charter Oak Tournament, the Crescenta Valley Tournament is the same day. The Tournament will be held at Glendale High School on Saturday May 18. 16 teams will compete in the 7 on 7 battle. Games get underway at 8:00 a.m.

By MVS Staff [South El Monte] Chasity Martinez drove in Nevaeh Castruita with a walk off base hit in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift South El Monte to a 3-2 win over West Valley Thursday in the first round of the CIF Division 4 playoffs.

CIFSS Softball Playoff Pairings: 1st Round
Softball playoffs start off this week as Los Altos sneaks in the Division 1 playoffs while Santa Fe also gets in with eight straight losses to finish the season. South El Monte gets a Wild Card team Thursday and red hot El Monte, winners of seven straight, travels to Covina.
