Bruins’ Struggles Continue, 48-14
By Rich Whittington (Pasadena) – The UCLA Bruins continued to struggle Saturday evening, falling to the visiting Washington Huskies 48-14, in front of a reported attendance of 38,201 at the Rose Bowl.

South El Monte Headed for the Finals, 13-7
By Rich Whittington (South El Monte) – The South El Monte Eagles punched their ticket to the finals Friday evening, defeating the visiting A.B Miller Rebels, 13-6, at “The Swamp”, in front of a very vocal crowd that included city dignitaries, district officials, and alumni from South’s teams of the past.
