TC outlasts M-Town, Wins in 11 innings

By Josh Lowden (Temple City) – Late in games, mistakes can cost a team. A Monrovia error allowed Jessica Loicano the winning run to end the game, giving Temple City a 6-5 victory after 11 innings of play.

Lady Cats Ease Into Winning Streak

by Josh Lowden (Monrovia) – Coming off of a 10-0 win against South Pasadena, the Lady Cats continued its winning streak with a 10-0 victory over Rio Hondo Prep.

Third Quarter Not Friendly to Kares

(Anaheim) – Mesa Grande Academy’s defense clamped down on Rio Hondo Prep during the third quarter by not allowing a field goal for 7:32 to win its first ever CIF championship in Girls Basketball, 48-44. It is the Kares fifth runner-up finish.

(Pasadena) – Any chances of a Rose City Rivalry semi-final match-up between La Salle and Maranatha collapsed in the second half as Buckley came from behind to win 67-54 in overtime.
