South Too Much for North, 32-7

By Tim Peterson (Covina) – The South outscored the North 19-0 in the fourth quarter to break open a close game and went on to a 32-7 rout in the North-South All-Star game Friday night at Lou Farrar Stadium at Charter Oak High.

Q&A with Norwalk’s Marcus Castillo

By George Hernandez (Norwalk)- I sat down with Norwalk’s sophomore standout defensive lineman Marcus Castillo who had 50 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and five sacks. He helped the Lancers to a 10-1 season and a Mid Cities league title. Castillo is also a standout baseball player for the Lancers.

Eddie Ficklin Jr. is the new head football coach at Maranatha. By Tim Peterson (Pasadena) – Maranatha named Eddie Ficklin Jr. as its new head football coach he confirmed Monday. Ficklin takes over for Rand Holdren who stepped down last month to take the head coach job at Village Christian.
