(Covina) – Covina blanked Gladstone 7-0 Tuesday to move into the Finals of the Gladstone Tournament. The Colts earned the right to play South Hills, which blanked Channel Islands 5-0 earlier in the day.

(El Monte) – Arroyo showed no signs of rust after the Spring Break, jumping on Gabrielino in the third inning for three runs enroute to a 4-0 Mission Valley League win on Monday.

(El Monte) – Angel Acosta wobbled but did not fall. He bent but never broke. He escaped more tight spots than Houdini and in the end he threw a complete game shutout to lead Gabrielino to a 1-0 win over Arroyo in Mission Valley League action Monday.
