(West Covina) – With a playoff atmosphere on Wednesday afternoon, Bonita came from two-runs down to defeat West Covina 8-5 in a battle of unbeaten teams in the Hacienda League.
South Hills Rolls to G-Stone Tourney Title
(Covina) – South Hills jumped out to a 9-0 lead after two innings and rolled to a 12-0 win over Covina Wednesday to win the Gladstone Tournament Championship.
Colts Blank G-Stone
(Covina) – Covina blanked Gladstone 7-0 Tuesday to move into the Finals of the Gladstone Tournament. The Colts earned the right to play South Hills, which blanked Channel Islands 5-0 earlier in the day.
Lady Knights Shut Out Eagles
(El Monte) – Arroyo showed no signs of rust after the Spring Break, jumping on Gabrielino in the third inning for three runs enroute to a 4-0 Mission Valley League win on Monday.
Acosta Zeros in on Knights
(El Monte) – Angel Acosta wobbled but did not fall. He bent but never broke. He escaped more tight spots than Houdini and in the end he threw a complete game shutout to lead Gabrielino to a 1-0 win over Arroyo in Mission Valley League action Monday.
