Good Morning!

T-Minus-34 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodgers lineup

I am so sick of the Angels…

When shooting around with folks who understand the concept of “change” it goes without saying that when you stick in a  22-footer from the wing they toss the ball back.

When somebody doesn’t you get a real sense of their basketball IQ.

I can see giving somebody a fist or some skin after they hit a free throw…I can see it, I don’t necessarily approve of it…seems gratuitous to me…but I’ll accept it.

What I can’t accept is the same kind of reaction when someone tosses up a brick at the foul line. What is that all about?

Rashard Lewis clanks one and everyone steps up to give him a fist-bump…My reaction is “hit the blanking free throw!” and then maybe I’ll give you some love.

Can you imagine James Loney swinging and missing at the plate then having Mariano Duncan, Larry Bowa, Casey Blake all racing quickly to the box to bump fists with him?

It’s like the government saying they created a thousand new federal jobs (Hooray!) and then raising everyones taxes to pay for it…

Get the hit, create the job, hit the blanking free throw!

If Cleveland ever lets LeBron James get away while still in his prime, they should just fold the franchise…

I thought the experts were saying James had help this year…Mo Williams and the brain-dead Delonte West are not enough…The Cavs should be down 3-0…

Go Denver!

Could this season’s NBA champion be the weakest ever?

Lots of buzz floating our way about high school football, the latest one I got said not to overlook South Pasadena in the Rio Hondo.

Gil Ruedaflores is back at Alhambra for another season, and says this will really be it.

We have a lot of fun with Ruedaflores but few coaches are as entertaining with the quotes.

From praising the Almont as “a tough Mexican League”…To questioning what his linemen ate for breakfast “you ate too much huevos rancheros this morning”…To imploring his defense on the sidelines “you can’t just stand there! you have to make plays!”…This guy is a lot of fun to be around…I kind of hope he outlasts us all…

But I’m done with retirement stories…I’d sooner let Scanlan lecture me about Juan Pierre’s GPS…or is that OPS…UPS?

Stay thirsty my friends…
