We didn’t like any of the pictures we had of Torres, but if you have a good one send it to us and we’ll post it.
The guy to keep an eye on for Sierra Vista heading into this past season was Lee Jones. Torres didn’t play varsity football in 2012 and he wasn’t on the radar.
An injury, three months, and a breakout season changed all of that for the junior.
Torres rushed for 1,761 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Dons. Seven times he cleared 100 yards rushing, five times he cleared 200 yards rushing, and rushed for 326 yards against Baldwin Park on September 6th.
Wearing a familiar looking number “10” expect to see more of Torres in 2014.
Vote Info: The staff was split on this vote, there were so many good players to choose from. One who stood out in this discussion was Maranatha CB Dexter Myers.
(We were very disappointed with our pictures of Torres, none of them did him justice. If you have a good shot of Justin Torres and would like to send it to us we can be reached at the following: tim@midvalleysports.com, duane@midvalleysports.com, and joe@midvalleysports.com)
