La Canada 61, FSHA 44: The Spartans flourished late in the second quarter outscoring FSHA 14-4 and held steady the rest of the way en route to victory. Courtney Chen (13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals) and Keilee Bessho (12 points, 3 steals) each scored double-figure points to lead LC.
Aundrea Issakhanian (9 points, 8 rebounds) and Marie Weston (8 points, 11 rebounds) each contributed heavily on the rebounding in addition to their points for the Spartans. Amber Graves added presence in the post with eight points and six boards, while Sarah Kurdoghlian delivered seven points and collected seven rebounds off the bench.

Jenna Tran accounted for nearly half of the Tologs’ 44 points this game, scoring a game high 21 points (13 for 17, FTs).

Thousand Oaks 48, La Salle 31: In a meeting of Lancers, Thousand Oaks kicked clear of La Salle during the fourth and final stanza with by a 15-5 score and were led by both Vanessa DeSimone (11 points) and Taylor Halby (10) as the duo scored during each quarter. Halby made it a double-double for herself by hauling in 10 rebounds.

Coral Suarez (6 points) yanked a game best 19 rebounds. Alexa Coubal recorded all nine of her points in the second half, and Raquel Sheppard added seven points with four assists.

Caroline Knop, a standout on La Salle’s back-to-back CIFSS 1A championship volleyball team who is headed to the Michigan Wolverines next fall to play that sport, hooped strong to amass 13 points and 17 rebounds for La Salle, who got nine points from Claire Fitzgerald and 10 boards by Dionna Williams.

Royal 51, Pasadena Poly 38: Consistent, balanced, team effort rebounding proved the difference benefiting and favoring Royal in the end as five different players secured at least six caroms a piece towards the win over Poly.

Kaitlyn Olah led all scorers in the loss for Poly with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Bri Reser piloted the Highlanders with 14 points and a little bit of everything else (5 steals, 5 assists, 4 rebounds). Jessica Garner (7 reb.) followed with 12 points; Brooke Zamora scored 10 and notched eight caroms with three assists. Mackenzie Shuster had nine rebounds and six points.

Moorpark 75, Hart 67: Hart emerged from an explosive first quarter with a 24-22 lead and had the upper hand into the third, and maintaining a lead as high as nine points. But that all evaporated towards the end of that quarter as Moorpark finished strong to gain command and hold the lead the remainder of an overall high-scoring nightcap.
The Musketeers boomed off the day’s best individual performance as Kira Cusworth cooked up 16 points in the first quarter en route to a game high 30 points (including four 3-pointers) with six assists to boot. Paige Sullivan also wreaked havoc, scoring 19 points, dishing three assists, and pulling down 12 rebounds.
Kaela Disney notched 11 points across the final three stanzas. Leah Daley picked up 10 rebounds and scored eight points for Moorpark.
Sophia Jacobsson sparked Hart from the outside with five threes and a team-high 17 points. Breze Kimble contributed as well with a fine 13 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Julia White scored 10; both Nicole Benz (8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals) and Jhazmin Joson (4 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 block) put in nine.
